The telecommunications division of Airbus in Finland is looking for an experienced Virtualization Designer to join our Software Development team in Helsinki. The team is a part of our Secure Land Communications organization. You will work in international environment with latest technologies, developing software which supports public safety professionals in their ongoing efforts to save lives. You will join a highly skilled team of software developers, who are responsible for implementing software for Airbus critical communication networks.

Tasks and responsibilities

As a Virtualization Designer, you will work for the virtualization platform as well as the virtualization of our telecom network elements in TETRA system. You have the talent to find solutions to complex problems, and you have a desire for creating and delivering sophisticated software. The main tasks include:

  • Participate the specification of our next generation platform to host our TETRA services
  • Develop and maintain the virtualization platform according to the defined architecture
  • Develop/support application virtualization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, software or computer science
  • Linux and virtualization, and RH virtualization even better
  • Ansible
  • Bash scripting or Python
  • Usage of version control tools, e.g. Git
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Development with Jenkins
  • IP networking
  • Agile development
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience of Docker, Robot Framework and working in Telecommunication field are seen as an advantage
