We are looking for

Vice President, Raw materials and packaging

to lead Metsä Group’s raw material and packaging sourcing in the Sourcing & Logistics organization.

Your role in the future Metsä

You will be responsible for group-wide raw material and packaging material sourcing. You and your team will work in close co-operation with business areas and mills to ensure a sustainable supply both long and short term. In addition to being responsible for relations and negotiations with a group of key suppliers, you will create long range plans in line with Metsä Group’s sourcing strategy. You will lead a team of sourcing category heads and ensure that you and your team are well aligned with business areas’ and corporate goals. Your closest colleagues are production heads in business areas and fellow Sourcing and logistics management team members. You will report to Metsä Group’s SVP, Sourcing and logistics.

You will be based preferably in Espoo, Finland.

What are we looking for?

You are a seasoned professional in raw material sourcing and supplier collaboration. You are excellent in working across line organizations and keeping contact with your key stakeholders within the company. Your excellent negotiation skills have resulted in a solid commercial track record. Even though you have an academic degree, you are down to earth and pragmatic in your style. It is natural for you to work both independently and in teams in line with Metsä Group’s values. You are fluent in Finnish and English and your experience or university degree give you an excellent understanding of a forest industry company’s raw material portfolio and markets.
