Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Training & Capability Manager role is to;

  • Be a strategic and value-adding partner to the full Nordics Oncology organization by serving as an expert in performance optimization, capability building and change management.
  • Provide high impact, best practice, integrated learning interventions that enable the Nordics organization to be always ahead of the curve.
  • A critical learning partner to the organization ensuring business strategy and the overall goals/objectives of the priority brand and disease area teams are translated into unique learning experiences
  • Cross-functional leadership of critical business building activities to also include white glove onboarding, governance and process oversight, event strategy and participation planning

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and implement functional capabilities across the BU, coordinating needs within the teams
  • Designs and executes defined trainings and educations, develop and manage strategical and tactical plans for capability building per function, monitoring on progress
  • Internal and external program and content owner
  • Assess and build critical attitude, knowledge, and skill-based capabilities, primarily from a customer facing perspective, which will facilitate best in class execution
  • Liaise with stakeholders in other divisions and Regional office as required to successfully complete strategic initiatives and training/capability building projects
  • Coordinate needs and adapt offerings, working through regional-local-functional training resources and external vendors
  • Co-creates with Regional and Countries for the effective delivery and implementation of global and regional capability programs
  • Work closely with the managers within BU to provide expertise, map, analyze and plan for excellence and strategic fit for associates
  • Conduct onboarding training needs in close collaboration with manager
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in Customer Facing capabilities
  • Accountable for analysis and training assignment for each function, and tools for development of clear training plans ongoing for each function – Training Curriculum
  • Accountable for analysis to inform the recruitment strategy and to concentrate on growing innovation capabilities.
  • Ensure efficient governance and process oversight across the BU.
  • Ensure proper event strategies and planning for cross-functional teams

Minimum requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • University degree in Economics, Marketing and/or Bioscience
  • Advanced degree in business and/or bioscience preferred
  • Experience in driving training and change management in large organizations with senior facing responsibilities, in pharmaceuticals or other industries
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in training and capability building
  • Demonstrated business impact of training initiatives, through roll out of large training initiatives across countries and disease areas
  • Senior, executive level presentation skills with ability to communicate and engage at all levels within the organization
  • Proven ability to work effectively across a matrix and widely-dispersed organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
  • Self-starter with ability to set a vision within a relatively undefined space
