For JM, taking a long term approach is crucial, so we offer our trainees the best possible opportunities to lay the foundation for a successful career with JM. We envisage a future where you tackle various leadership roles with us. In other words, you are a good fit for JM if you have the potential to become a key employee who wants to help develop communities of the future and create sustainable living environments.

About our trainee program
The trainee program will start in August 2020 and run for two years. As a trainee, you will be employed by JM, and we are looking for trainees to be based in Espoo.

The program is a mix of both theory and practice. During the course of the program, you will work in different areas in order to gain a better understanding of our business, our processes and our culture. During one of the periods, you will be based at the JM Group’s head office in Stockholm.

Being a trainee at JM opens the door to an exciting career. At the end of the program, you will be ready for a new position as a deputy pre-construction manager. In time, we want you to continue your development as a project manager and subsequently reach the higher echelons of the company.

Your profile
You have an MSc in engineering specializing in the built environment/civil engineering, surveying, architecture, industrial economics or the equivalent. You have recently received your master’s degree or have a maximum of two years of work experience. We expect you to be passionate about the construction industry and keen to develop your management skills. Different interests in addition to your studies will be seen as an advantage.

Naturally, we expect you to share our values. Quality, long-term approach, reliability, commitment, sensitivity and a sense of style.

As you will be working in different parts of JM, it is important that you are a team player who finds it easy to network. To succeed, you also need to possess the drive and determination to develop, allied with tremendous curiosity and an analytical mindset.

What we offer
You will have the opportunity to work closely with many of our highly professional and dedicated employees. If you perform well and show initiative and passion, you will have excellent opportunities for further advancement within JM. After an initial probationary period, the employment type will be permanent.

At JM, you will be able to perform and accept new and more challenging assignments as you outgrow your existing work duties. We want to create the foundation for you to feel pride in your career, and we do this by adopting a long-term approach to everything we do. The buildings, city districts and living environments we create are meant to last for at least a century, which is why sustainability is our responsibility and our ambition. We support the UN’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development in our business, which entails certain commitments such as that by the year 2030, JM should have as close to zero greenhouse gas emissions as possible and that 20% of our craft workers should be female.

The application deadline is February 23. Apply via the enclosed link by attaching your CV (in English), personal cover letter (in English) and college transcript/graduate transcript.
