Academic Work is looking for a tester to our client Varian Medical Systems.

This job is a staffing position, which means that you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Varian Medical Systems.
In this position, you will work as a part of a talented team of testers designing and developing next generation radiation therapy for cancer treatment. You will be participating in reviewing and planning test cases, processing products and reviewing matters connected to your team (daily standups etc.). Your duties will also entail reporting, documenting and inspecting the functionality of the tests. In your position you will be using different Windows and Microsoft technologies such as C++ and C#. You will be working as a member of an international team of 5 testers, consisting of members from both Finland Switzerland.
Our ideal candidate has a relevant academic background in physics or information technology and a background in software- and system testing. You also have some experience of working as a tester and have previously worked with information processing. You have an understanding of the applications that are being used and the ability to find the core of the problem and to put a finger on why the problem exists. You are not afraid to bring issues to the public and to ask for help if that is needed. Our ideal candidate also has a genuine interest in doing product research and proficient communication skills. As a person you are eager and have a capability to learn. You also have fluent skills in English.
