Based in Vantaa, Finland

About Finland
In Finland we have over 900 employees in Vantaa and Joensuu. How will you make an impact?
Thermo Fisher Scientific is currently recruiting for a Test Automation Engineer to join our international team of experts developing a new and revolutionary In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) medical device. As a Test Automation Engineer you will be automating software testing and supporting the development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

What will you do?
You will be working in an exciting global project with cutting edge software development tools and technologies. You will be using Agile and Lean principles in your daily work.
 

  • Designing and writing test automation scripts
  • Using test automation frameworks
  • Developing testing practices
  • Investigating problems in software as a result of testing
  • Working closely with development, other interdisciplinary teams and business experts
  • Strong team player who takes ownership of own work and contribute to the overall success of the business

How will you get here?
Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in test automation
  • Understanding of SW testing cycle and Agile processes

We value also experience in these areas:

  • Experience in testing software developed with .NET / C#
  • SQL databases
  • Knowledge of Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio
  • Experience with clinical instruments, motor control, stepper motors and similar

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Independent, proactive and self-driven personality
  • Motivated in learning new skills
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English language skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or equivalent in Computer Science or other applicable field
