Technical Support Specialist

To our Clinical Diagnostic System CDS business in Vantaa, Finland. The Clinical Diagnostics Systems is focused on high-end IVD instrumentation and related clinical and specialty chemistry solutions. We also provide fully automated bench-top analyzers and applications for food and water laboratories. Our high throughput modular laboratory automation systems are used both in smaller laboratories as well as in high-volume core laboratories.

Our mission is to be the leading provider of high value, innovative diagnostic solutions to select IVD market segments and a partner of choice for major OEM customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd /3rd level technical service support for customers (mainly international OEM Partners and distributors) related to our laboratory automation platforms.
  • Track, investigate and close technical complaints by collecting information and working together with appropriate sources. Participate in, and contribute to the CAPA process.
  • Deliver service training in English and actively participate in creating and delivering training material.
  • Provide on-site support for international installations in the form of troubleshooting and service when required.
  • Participate and contribute to other processes (e.g. product development and product launch) to initiate product improvements/corrective actions as necessary to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of plans to improve technical services and capabilities to further improve customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the product management, R&D and QARA team to develop the service and support processes.
  • Provide 1st level service visits when required.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or similar, in a technical area
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ work experience in a related field
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows based software, networking and PC hardware
  • Willingness to travel: app. 10 – 30% depending on the support need in the field. Mainly international travel when required but not limited to.
  • Good communication and negotiations skills and the ability to interface with customers in a positive, professional manner
  • Demonstrated verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a group, to accomplish individual and team objectives
  • Ability to prioritize multiple high priority activities, taking own initiative and applying strong process orientation capabilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and SW problems analytically and systematically with a firm commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Fluent communication skills in spoken and written Finnish and English.

We additionally value:

  • Experience and knowledge of embedded and /or PLC software programming
  • Systematic and process oriented way of working
  • Clinical laboratory experience is a plus
  • Experience in supporting international customers
  • Knowledge of laboratory automation systems is a plus
