In our new Electric Vehicle business line (EVBL) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.
For our EVBL we are looking for an experienced and organized Technical Support Engineer with strong communication skills, problem solving skills and good understanding of the e-mobility battery products, who likes to take responsibility and works self-dependent.
Here’s where you’ll make an impact:
Your main objective is to support customers during sales process providing product information, documentation, samples and support customer testing. You will be the first contact for technical questions from field.
- Contact for customer for all technical topics and issues
- Understand and evaluate customer request vs VA product offering
- Support customer with product integration
- Simulation according to customer load profile
- CAN and 3D support
- Answering testing questions
- Recommend installation parts
- Product handling instruction
- Provide technical training and documents internally and for customers
- Manage sample parts delivery and tracking
- Manage field returns with Quality, assses failures, coordinate onsite support (Flying doc, from testing)
- Product/data management for protos and serial, SW and HW updates and calibrations
- Understand and maintain a list of relevant industry norms and certifications
- Feedback product and market understanding to Product Management and Engineering
- Feedback of relevant technical product issues to engineering with solution proposal
We hope that you would have:
- Sound technical qualification with a Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years of job experience in customer support and/or technical support
- Resourceful and creative in problem solving
- Job experience with electromechanical background
- Distinguished communication and presentation skills
- Ability to coordinate tasks towards external and internal stakeholders in a structured way to ensure prompt solutions
- Understanding the product from component up to system level as well as its functionality and performance parameters
- Hands-on mentality and open-minded, paired with a flexible and solution focused work style to cope with a fast-growing work environment
- Finnish and English language with full professional proficiency
- Located preferably in Salo or Uusikaupunki, Turku as optional.
- Willingness to travel, mainly within Finland and Europe
