Technical Support, Design Change Management

As Technical Support your main tasks will be ensuring that the technical change management will assure fulfils safety and design criteria as well as the targeted goals throughout the Project. You will be required to ensure the technical change management process including design impact evaluation in the Utility Operations. You will work as a part of our Configuration Management Unit which belongs to the Engineering and Design Integrity Department. 

Your tasks include e.g. 

  • Develop for the Engineering and Design Integrity department and Units safe, efficient and effective design change management process and system;
  • Support for Project Management department when developing change management strategy, plans and related procedures;
  • Ensuring the design change request process and associated activities are completed on time;
  • Review and execute the design change request and corresponding impact evaluation;
  • Assess the change impact (conduct impact analyses, assess change request readiness and identify the key stakeholders);
  • Initially evaluate the proposed change request in order to ensure that the change is robust;
  • Participate into Fennovoima Configuration Control Board in order to ensure proper decision making related to proposed changes into design;
  • Develop and maintain the design change related KPI’s.

The ideal candidate for this position has 

  • Engineering education (B.Sc. or M.Sc.);
  • About 3-5 years of work experience in similar tasks in power plant industry;
  • Knowledge of the principles of the engineering and experience as designer;
  • Language skills: advanced in English both verbally and in writing;
  • Strong problem solving, communication and listening skills;
  • Knowledge of VVER-1200 technology is considered as an asset.
