As a Technical Sourcer for the Zalando Tech Hubs, you will be based in Helsinki but you will work closely with our other Sites in Lisbon, Dublin, Dortmund and Hamburg. You will play a critical role in raising our already high bar for talent, by sourcing exceptional local and International candidates across a variety of niche, business critical, tech roles. Your main responsibility will be sourcing hard to find talent in the Engineering, Research and Product space. How you do this will be very much in your hands. Sourcing is so much more than building lists on LinkedIn and we want you to analyse, trial and master multiple channels and tools as well as working closely with Employer Branding on Conferences and Events. This position will involve travel to our Sites as well as to our HQ in Berlin where you will also be able to collaborate with our Central Sourcing Team. Over time this role may evolve to include end-to-end recruitment responsibility.


  • Identifying and engaging with Talent for our most business crucial vacancies, including strategy meetings with hiring managers, systematic talent mapping and employing creative sourcing approaches
  • Operational effectiveness. You are able to manage your time smartly, provide stakeholders with detailed reporting on talent pipelines and analyse and draw conclusions from our data and that of the market.
  • Win over and develop trusted relationships with stakeholders by acting solution-oriented, taking over challenging topics and always remaining composed, patient and positive - even in busy times
  • To redefine how we source talent, we will support you in trying new methods and tools and giving you a visible platform with conference and event exposure.


  • Technical sourcing and recruitment experience, a proven track record of hiring niche profiles within the Tech Industry, successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders
  • Balance of creativity, focus, and determination to deliver an outstanding candidate experience and continuously raise the bar of our recruitment efforts
  • Strong sourcing skills and a persuasive can-do mentality to achieve the best results possible within a defined time frame
  • Fluent English required, language skills in Finnish, Portuguese or German a plus.
