We are looking for two

TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

To manage customer delivery and support projects. Projects include both SW and HW deliveries and support. Projects are managed by following Gemalto project management processes.

Key tasks are

  • Managing customer delivery projects through the entire life cycle in respect of cost, time, and quality requirements. The projects include both SW and HW deliveries. Based on the candidate´s background the job can be tailored and also technical project tasks can be included.
  • Monitoring and securing project delivery; following-up of production issues
  • Defining and following-up agreed action plan with customer/supplier to achieve project goals
  • Provide regular visibility on project progress, risks and issues
  • Permanent collaboration with R&D, marketing and sales teams for coverage of deals and customer needs
  • Managing answers to customer's technical questions by using internal resources, processes and tools
  • Ensuring project documentation
  • Coordinating the tasks with subcontractors and 3rd parties (e.g. HW manufacturers)

Essential knowledge & competencies:

  1. Knowledge of the work
    • Degree in Computer Science or related fields
    • Familiar with project management methodologies like PRINCE2, PROPS or PPS. Preferably certified for example in Prince 2 methodology.
    • Both technical and customer oriented.
    • Experience of large integration projects.
    • Experience of Agile methodologies
    • Experience of working in international environment and distributed project environment. 
    • Experience of working towards authorities.
    • Understanding of the smartcard, PKI, enrollment and border control technologies.
  2. Technical skills and competencies:
    • Technical background (complex mix of technologies involved in the projects)
    • Good IT skills (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
    • Results-oriented, ability to work in autonomy, use own initiative, and willing to work in a dynamic structure.

    • Both technical and customer oriented.
    • Fluent in Finnish and English, Swedish is an asset
  3. Skill in Leading:
    • People management skills
    • Ideally 3+ years of project management experience
