You are a mid level or even fresh grad, ready for the responsibility of cuatoemr incident handling and problem management. This role will put you on a pathway to DevOps, with excellent exposure for you to experience how all these mobile apps work. Read on!
SOK IT, Development & Design
We are a collection of 400 unique and diverse talents in Finland inside the 40,000 person S-Group which is Finland’s largest private employer. We are tasked with providing expert and strategic guidance to all of S-Group, its cooperatives and its owners, who are ultimately, millions of regular Finns. So essentially our shareholders, are you! We are therefore motivated to excel not by increasing profits for a small group of the 1%, rather to help our neighbors, our families, our fellow Finns and ex-pat neighbors, ourselves.
We are uniquely positioned inside S-Group with billions of rows of data from multiple use cases and business domains, all intimately connected to Finns as they/we go about our daily routines. We build SW products, apps and services highlighted by the regular dialogue between digital and IRL worlds, which genuinely makes our work consistently intriguing. We are design conscious, we believe in community internally and externally, pride ourselves on our open source commitment, our blossoming DevOps culture, and our use of modern tools and democratic development standards for an holistic philosophy to modern and pure software development practices.
As part of our development team, you will participate in the Tech ops part, handling bug fixes, problem management, running through customer incidents / tickets, processing them or forwarding them to our partners. These issues may be payment problems, or some other issue with our mobile apps. Or then the user may not be as intelligent as the device ; ) either way, you will scan and solve, recognizing if there is an underlying problem, or if its just some missing instructions.
You will do some pre-analysis with big hunts, or propose corrections, as you ultimately get closer with the dev team in the future. This will help support overall process development and automation, and give you the chance to learn a LOT. We have many different service areas, which all have their own test pipelines, deployment etc, working your way into complex and deep DevOps territory.
As we have over 500,000 active users for these apps (mobile fueling, mobile restaurant orders, EV charging, car washing, etc), you will have a brilliant overview of business cases with our apps. These include: ABC-Mobiili, ABC-lataus, ABCAsemat.fi website, etc)
Degree in software engineering
Experience in native mobile application and web development
Understanding of public cloud based back-end solutions and modern integrations
Willingness to work with challenging end user issues and incidents
Systematic and service development oriented mindset
