The Talent Acquisition Specialist (Researcher) is responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process execution of his/her dedicated unit(s) as well as for research work identifying and contacting candidates for challenging roles across the company.
As a Talent Acquisition (Senior) Specialist (Researcher), you will be fully responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process execution for your dedicated business unit(s).
Furthermore, to make things more exciting, you will work as an internal researcher for all business units across VTT, helping your recruitment team colleagues in more challenging recruitment cases. Your task is to identify potential candidates in these challenging cases, build longlists and initiate first contact via e-mail and phone with the candidates. Also, you will develop the company’s recruitment reporting and maintain active presence in social media. In every step of the process, you will act as a brand ambassador for VTT, and therefore you connect with the company values naturally. Communicating with candidates comes naturally for you and in all of your communication, ensuring a positive candidate experience is guiding your actions.
You are expected to have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and several years of strong experience in working as a (headhunting) researcher. Furthermore, you have preferably acted as a recruitment professional in which you have successfully been responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process execution of your responsibility area. Based on your studies or work experience in a similar organization, you understand how a research-oriented organization functions and how to communicate with insightful scientific researchers. You are accustomed to working in an international environment, and you may also have been working in an in-house position or you have gained experience in consultancy. You are a strong team player and networker, and you have a proactive working style; for example, you are not afraid of making cold calls to contact potential candidates, and you know how to create and successfully keep an active candidate pipeline. In this role, you will need fluent spoken and written communication skills in Finnish and English.
Your role requires you to be able to connect effortlessly with our stakeholders and take care of, and manage their needs through different communication channels. Being active on social media is important for you in your role. Working with numbers and different sources of information is an integral part of the role as well as analyzing the data at hand. Thinking outside the box is something that you need to do on a daily basis to come up with new and innovative ways of reaching our targets.
