CSC is looking for new talent! The work is on the cutting edge of IT services, and you'll get to work on a wide variety of tasks. You're guaranteed not to get bored. The work ranges from coding to user support, and hits most things in between.

Who is CSC you ask? We offer IT services for research, education, culture and public administration, including high performance computing and cloud services. We have a wide selection of modern cloud services, including OpenStack IaaS, OKD/Kubernetes and Ceph object storage.

The team you would be working in is responsible for developing and maintaining our OpenShift based Kubernetes service. Join our team and develop the CSC container orchestration platform, there is never a boring day when you maintain and develop clustered services!

But if you start from scratch, it's a steep hill to climb, so the more boxes you check, the better:

[ ] Team work problem-solving attitude

[ ] Linux administration skills

[ ] Experience with containers (the OCI kind)

[ ] Experience with Kubernetes

[ ] Enough in the know that you know that the cool kids write it k8s

[ ] Experience using Ansible

[ ] Programming skills e.g. Python

[ ] Go coding skills, or the willingness to learn them

[ ] Knowledge on storage and networking

[ ] Feel at home with modern devops workflows

[ ] An eagerness to support research and provide the best platforms for it

The mid-range future of the team is filled with technical implementations on network and storage, platform growth, marketing, and a myriad number of other things we can only guess at.
