System Specialist / System Manager

We are strengthening our internal IT capabilities and looking for development- and result-oriented System Specialist / System Manager to join our highly motivated and good-spirited IT team at our HQ office (Herttoniemi, Helsinki). Your main responsibility is to develop and maintain Marimekko’s core business solutions together with the selected IT suppliers and software vendors.

As our System Specialist / System Manager you plan, implement and maintain core business solutions especially in the area of supply chain, logistics and finance. You will be working closely together with our business teams and help them to succeed by supporting in defining business process improvements, implementing IT solutions and fully utilising systems’ capabilities for business purposes. In this role you have a possibility to further deepen your technological experience and at the same time grow your competencies in understanding the business processes. You will also have a key role in participating to the development of Marimekko’s technology strategy and IT roadmap. In this permanent role you will report to Head of IT.

Work description can be finetuned based on the candidate’s competencies and interests, but for being successful in this role you are / have:

• At least 3-5-years of working experience in the system specialist, system manager or similar roles
• Technological capabilities related to the supply chain, logistics and/or financial systems – expertise in Microsoft ecosystem and business applications is an advantage
• Good understanding of system development lifecycle
• Proven performance in successfully maintaining and developing IT systems based on business requirements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, being part of the multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise own work to meet the deadlines
• Ability to interact with diverse personalities at all levels of the organisation
• Fluent in written and spoken English – Finnish is an advantage
• Enthusiastic, positive and team player
