Metsä Board is looking for


to its Product Safety & Sustainability team. In the position, you are responsible for product and environment related calculations (LCA, Paper profiles etc.) and reporting. As Sustainability Specialist you will report to Director, Product Safety and Sustainability and work closely with other team members. You will also cooperate with other internal functions and some external stakeholders. The position is located in Espoo, Finland.

Your role in the future Metsä

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Carrying out product specific environmental calculations
  • Participate in Metsä Board’s sustainability reporting
  • Support Metsä Board’s business by providing communication material and answers to sustainability related questions from different stake holders.

What are we looking for?

We expect you to have a position relevant academic degree (environment, sustainability, energy) and experience from tasks related to environmental and product related calculations (eg. product-related life cycle -analysis, LCA). You have good mathematical skills, long-term focus and ability to master even complex issues, as well as experience of GaBi –software. To be successful in this position you need to have a persistent and logical working style, customer-oriented approach, good communication, networking and co-operation skills. Good verbal and written communication skills in Finnish and English are required, additional language skills are appreciated.
