Do you want to join the Value creation models team at VTT? We are looking for a Research Scientist / Research Trainee to join our team in Espoo or Tampere.

With us you will be responsible for

As a part of our research team, you will be responsible for development of sustainable business concepts for circular economy, and making Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) calculations in challenging projects with international and domestic customers and partners. You will also take part in developing Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) method with international partners.

We expect you to have

We are seeking for a customer oriented and self-directed researcher with expertise in life cycle assessment (LCA) and sustainable business concepts design for circular economy. You should have a Master of Science degree in Environmental engineering or other relevant field. English language skills, both written and spoken, are required. We wish that you have knowledge in industrial processes. International experience and interests are advantages.

You are enthusiastic, curious and passionate about your work; you are ready to face challenges and cannot wait to solve them. You are familiar with working in international research teams and projects. Strong communication and collaboration skills are called for. You are a team player and willing to share your knowhow and learn from others.
