We are looking for a Supplier Quality Manager to help Murata build trusting partnerships with our suppliers for the benefit of our stakeholders. We work as part of our Quality Management Team in Operations in Vantaa. Our key suppliers are technology leaders in Silicon wafers, ASICs and electronics packaging. The team is responsible for the quality performance of our direct material suppliers and sub-contractors, working with product development projects and quality assurance during high-volume production. The position includes a significant amount of international travel.
Our team is comprised of seven professionals with expertise level ranging from advanced beginner to expert. Each member has responsibility for their own suppliers, but we collaborate and support each other in technical challenges and in the development of best practices for supplier quality management and performance development. Learning how to apply strict automotive quality requirements in a flexible way to fit various suppliers takes some time and patience, but our experienced team is always ready to support and find good solutions for tough problems.
You will have the responsibility to manage and improve the quality performance of our suppliers, with a primary focus on ASICs. You will perform audits on the supplier's site according to the VDA6.3 standard, approve new materials through the PPAP process, manage supplier changes and manage supplier non-conformities.
