Summer work: Design Engineer Trainee

We are looking for a Design Engineer Trainee to join our Plant design team for the summertime. In this position you will work together with our Chief design engineers and support them in design tasks related to stone wool production line equipment development. You will be able to use modern design tools and get an insight into the plant design team daily work. Some of your design tasks are related to our plant in Parainen and requires some occasional visits there and some tasks are related to our investment projects worldwide and can be partly executed from your home office.

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

• Positive attitude and good cooperation skills

• Ability to work as part of the team

• Executed at least 2 years studies in mechanical- or process-engineering.

• Competency in using some 3D design tool eg. Solid Works or alternatively competency in using some design tool for P&I Diagrams and specifying process equipment like pumps, valves heat exchanges, etc.

• Good communication skills in English

We consider as benefit:

• Previous experience from similar roles and/or experience in some related practical works like welding, machining, maintenance, or machine operation.

• Competency in using 2D design tool like AutoCad.

• Communication skills in Finnish.
