As our trainee, you will support the process design team in various tasks within development and investment projects where you can apply knowledge and theory gathered at the university.
Depending on your competences and previous experience, process design tasks may include e.g. revising P&ID´s, preparing equipment and instrument data sheets and line lists, pressure drop calculations, updating process data base, simulations and other process calculations.
You will work closely with other process design team members to accomplish the project goals.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to be motivated to learn, and enjoy working with a team for which safety, sustainability and professionalism are key elements of work.
In addition we see that the best combination of experiences, skills and background in this position is minimum of three years of university studies within chemical or biochemical process technology and minimum of 100 study credits done a person who has a hands-on attitude, is thorough at work and has good team working skills previous experience of process industry is an advantage.

All applicants must be students at the time of applying. Your salary will be determined based on the job and its requirements, your relevant previous working experience and the number of course credits you have from your studies. For some roles, the recruitment process may include a health check and drug test. The planned time period for the summer job is 1.5.-31.8.2023. It's also possible to start earlier.
The summer job recruitment process may include a video or a phone interview at the pre-selection stage and – if you are invited to participate further in the selection procedure – an on-site interview in our Porvoo office. This interview may be arranged virtually due to the pandemic.
The position is based in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, located only some 30 minutes away from Helsinki city center by car. We arrange free and flexible bus transportation for our employees from Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Porvoo to our office in Kilpilahti.
