The Summer Trainee positions at Neste are now open for applications! We are currently looking for summer trainees to join our Technology development team in Porvoo.
Your responsibilities during the summer
We offer interesting Technology development and process modelling tasks in various projects where you can apply knowledge and theory gathered at the university. Depending on competence and previous experience your tasks may include e.g. process modelling, process simulation, fluid dynamics, internal development of tools and ways of working.
You will work closely with other Process Modelling team members to accomplish the project goals.

In addition we see that the best combination of experiences, skills and background in this position is
- minimum of four years of university studies within Chemical process technology
- minimum of 140 ECTS credits done, preferably a completed Bachelor's degree
- hands-on attitude, good team working skills
- previous experience of modelling or process development is an advantage.

Your salary will be determined based on the complexity of the task, the skills and experience required for the job, your relevant previous working experience and the number of course credits you have from your studies.
The planned time period of the traineeship is May to August. It's also possible to start earlier.
The summer job recruitment process may include a video interview at the pre-selection stage and – if you are invited to participate further in the selection procedure – a face-to face interview. This interview may be arranged virtually due to the pandemic.

The person selected for the position must pass a health examination including a drug test. If required, a security clearance is obtained for the person with their consent. We will guide the final candidate through this process. Should the remote work recommendation continue during the summer, your manager will advise you.
