We are now looking for a Summer Trainee, Supply Chain Planning to our pulp mill in Pietarsaari. We have a similar position open also at Kymi Pulp mill in Kouvola.
What you’ll do
As a summer trainee in a Supply Chain Planning -team you are in a key role to ensure timely pulp deliveries to customers all over the world. Your tasks will include delivery planning and stock management. Aiming at meeting customer needs in the most profitable manner, you will be working closely with numerous people in sales, customer service and logistics teams as well as in production team and among logistics service providers.
Your main tasks include:
Delivery planning and coordination (from mill to ports and direct customer deliveries)
Stock management (including safety stock and declassed stock management)
Production planning
Status reporting in Weekly Operational Planning meeting
Who you are
You are a student in a relevant field (e.g. Bachelor in Logistics or Supply Chain Management)
Ideally you have experience in transport planning and stock management – understanding of pulp production is beneficial
You have good problem solving skills as well as influencing and interpersonal skills to coordinate and communicate effectively
You are fluent in Finnish and English
