Summer Trainee, Supply Chain Coordination

We are now looking for a Summer Trainee, Supply Chain Coordination to our pulp mill in Lappeenranta. We have the same position open also in Kouvola and Pietarsaari.



What you’ll do


As a supply chain coordinator you are in a key role in ensuring reliable on time pulp deliveries to the customers all over the world. You will manage and coordinate the operations of the finished goods stocks at pulp mills as well as the stocks operated by external parties. You will be responsible for production planning, quantitative and qualitative management of the pulp stocks and deliveries and you will work in close cooperation with sales, sales support, internal and external logistics service providers, port operators and consignees. In addition to these daily tasks, you will participate in developing supply chain processes and tools.  


Your main tasks include:            

  • Pulp mill monthly production planning in cooperation with the production manager and supervisors 

  • Pulp mill daily production scheduling and delivery planning to ensure on time availability to the customers 

  • Finished goods stock management at the pulp mills and destination ports, stock reporting to the sales 

  • Problem solving and customer claim handling in logistics related topics 

  • Developing supply chain processes and tools 


Who you are

  • You are a student in a relevant field and are already a bit further in your studies 

  • Ideally you have experience in production planning and scheduling and stock management and logistics planning 

  • You are fluent in Finnish and English 

  • A good understanding of the pulp production process is beneficial 

  • You have a customer oriented mindset and flexibility 

  • You have problem solving skills 

  • You have strong influencing and interpersonal skills 

  • You  coordinate and communicate effectively
