Summer Trainee, Risk modelling
As our Summer Trainee you will join our Risk Modelling team in Trading and Asset Optimisation organisation. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining our risk models for market and credit risks. In your role you will be participating in implementation of the models and systems as well as developing the modelling methodologies.

We offer you an interesting position at Trading and Asset Optimisation (TAO) organization, which optimises the best price for electricity production and consumption and hedges earnings from these operations with commodity derivatives far into the future. About 95 TWh of physical electricity trading and about 200 TWh of trading in commodity derivatives pass through TAO each year. We also operate Fortum’s hydro plants to enable total optimisation of our hydro fleet in the volatile energy market. In-depth understanding of the electricity business and market knowledge are an essential part of TAO's business.
As a trainee in the Risk modelling team you will have a chance to familiarize yourself with the risk modelling approaches as well as get an good overall picture of the whole risk and trading processes.

You have good programming (Python and SQL) and mathematical skills. Knowledge on Microsoft Azure, Power BI and quantitative finance are also beneficial. You know how to handle data. As a person you are responsible, open minded and positive. You like to work as part of an international team.
