We are now looking for a
Summer Trainee, Research
to join our Strategic Foresight team in the KONE Innovation unit in Espoo, Finland. The internship is three to four months full-time work and the start date is flexible, depending on your studies and preference.
As a Research Trainee, your responsibilities will include desktop studies, expert interviews and literature reviews on specific topics and supporting the ongoing projects. In addition, you will support the translation of research findings into engaging and actionable insights and presentations - both visual and written.
The Strategic Foresight team helps identify and articulate long-term forces of change which shape KONE's (business and) operating environment. Through multidisciplinary research, strategic foresight techniques, and thought leadership activities the team works with internal and external partners from different sectors to shape a future that delivers value for KONE’s customers, business, and society at large.
In order to be successful in this role
-MSc or MA studies in business, technology or social sciences and humanities , doctoral studies are an advantage
-Multi-disciplinary research skills to actively conduct research to strengthen KONE’s understanding of technological, political, environmental, and socioeconomic trends
-Ability to synthesize diverse inputs to future scenarios and design and author a variety of materials that communicate complex ideas in a clear and impactful way
-Independent, analytical working style, and drive for results
-Understanding strategic foresight and research tools and methods is an advantage
-Strong interest in exploring the changing nature of smart and sustainable cities, neighborhoods and buildings
-Interest in global, multicultural industrial organizations and cross-team collaboration
-Our working environment is multicultural so English language skills is a must
