We are now looking for Summer Trainee to join our UPM Biochemicals Lignin Team in Lappeenranta. This position is temporary and continues from May to the end of August 2023.

What you’ll do
Plan and execute laboratory and pilot scale product and application development testing related to lignin and its different uses
Reporting the results
Prepare literature reviews on specific topics
Supporting the team in various development and customer projects
Who you are
We are looking student having minimum Bachelor’s degree in the field of organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, chemical engineering, or other equivalent training/experience. In addition, knowhow in lignin, polymers, adhesives, and composite materials is seen as an asset
You feel comfortable working in laboratory and pilot environment, also independently
We highly appreciate a positive and hands-on attitude, eagerness to learn new things and to take initiative and responsibility
You have good verbal and written communication skills in English
