We are now looking for a Privacy & Compliance Trainee to join our compliance team in UPM Legal Function in Helsinki, Finland, for a fixed term position (preferably from April/May to August/September 2023).

What you’ll do

You will be working together with UPM’s Privacy team with operational responsibilities related to global privacy management and continuously improving our privacy and compliance landscape. You will also assist UPM’s Counterparty Risk Management Team and provide support to other members of the compliance team in day-to-day activities.

Who you are

We are looking for a person with positive attitude, service-oriented mindset, good communication skills and genuine interest to learn and grow as privacy professional.

Studies in relevant field (e.g. law, economics, or other), with approx. 50-75% of the studies completed
You have good understanding of the GDPR, knowledge of other international privacy legislations related to operational processes and their successful implementations is considered an asset
Previous experience related to operational privacy management is considered an asset
Excellent English skills, written and oral
