Summer Trainee, Modeling and Simulation

We are looking for Summer trainees into Modeling and Simulation team in Espoo. Modeling and Simulation team is developing HSC Chemistry® process modeling platform, which is used as digital twin calculation engine and as essential tool for process design in Metso Outotec. See details from:

As a Summer Trainee, Modeling and Simulation (Espoo), you will work with some of the following tasks as suitable for your background and interests:

• Develop new process modeling software features, or improve the old ones with .NET framework

• Develop physical, chemical or metallurgical calculation routines for the backend

• Design user interfaces, layouts and complete user experiences

• Test new features and update the documentation

To succeed

• A relevant study background in one of following: software development, metallurgy, chemistry, physics, or process technology

• Some knowledge in at least one object-oriented programming language

• A positive can-do mindset and a proactive approach to work

• Eagerness to learn more, develop and succeed

• An ability to work as part of a team, while also working independently on certain tasks

• Good communication skills in English

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 1950-2700 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.
