We are looking for seven (7) Summer Trainees to join the Metso Outotec Engineering, Separation BL Delivery team in Espoo! We are recruiting several Summer Trainees through the roles, so please mention which role(s) you are applying for in your application.
 
As Summer Trainee – Mechanical Engineering, Steelwork, Separation BL Delivery, Espoo, you will work with some of the following tasks:

• Participate as a team member in component and steelwork design in equipment delivery projects

• 3D model and manufacturing drawing creation according to given instructions and project requirements

• Support sales by creating general arrangement drawings according to requests

 
To succeed

• Few years of studies in, e.g., Mechanical Engineering, or Structural Engineering

• Ability to read and produce manufacturing drawings

• Experience in any 3D-cad (Solidworks preferred) and 2D-cad (AutoCAD preferred)

• Good skills in MS Office tools

• Combined technical and business mindset

• Dare to ask questions

• Good communication skills in English and Finnish are required

As Summer Trainee – Mechanical Engineering, Core components, Separation BL Delivery, Espoo, you will work with some of the following tasks:

• Work as a member of the mechanical engineering team in the Flotation delivery projects. Our team makes customer-specific customizations to our basic products. In practice, your task includes working with 3D models and drawings of Core components of Flotation machines

• You will be making 3D models and drawings from standard modules to customer-specific deliveries

• Depending on the candidate's experience and study background, some minor design customization tasks are possible 

To succeed

• A higher degree in, e.g., Mechanical Engineering. Studies in Process, Technology, Process Metallurgy, Metals Processing, Materials Engineering, or Automation can be considered an advantage

• Ability to read and produce manufacturing drawings

• Basic 3D modeling and drawing skills, SolidWorks, and SolidWorks PDM experience are an advantage

• Good skills in MS Office tools

• Good communication skills in English and Finnish

As Summer Trainee – Structural Engineering, Separation BL Delivery, Espoo, you will work with some of the following tasks:

• Participate in component and steelwork design

• Verify existing designs and conformities with appropriate standards and design guidelines

• Develop design tools

To succeed

• A higher degree in, e.g., Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering

• General knowledge of how standards are utilized in design work

• Ability to read and produce manufacturing drawings

• Experience in any FEA program (Ansys preferred) and 3D-cad (Solidworks preferred)

• Good skills in MS Office tools

• Combined technical and business mindset

• People skills, including the ability to effectively influence people 

• Good communication skills in English

As Summer Trainee – Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, Separation BL Delivery, Espoo, you will work with some of the following tasks:

• Drawing P&I-diagrams

• Drawing electrical schematics

• 3D modeling of control cabinets

• Basic engineering lists

To succeed

• A few years of experience in, e.g., Automation, or Electrical Engineering

• Experience in a database-based design program (e.g. Eplan)

• Good skills in MS Office tools, especially in Excel

• Combined technical and business mindset

• People skills

• Good communication skills in English and Finnish

As Summer Trainee – Automation Engineering, Separation BL Delivery, Espoo, you will work with some of the following tasks:

• Write PLC software (FB, LAD, SCL)

• Design user interface (HMI)

• Instrument configuration 

To succeed

• A few years of experience in, e.g., Automation, or Electrical Engineering

• Experience with PLC programming software (preferably TIA Portal)

• Know how to read electrical schematics

• Good skills in MS Office tools

• Combined technical and business mindset

• People skills

• Good communication skills in English and Finnish
