We are looking for a trainee to join our Mechanical Engineering team for the summer. The trainee will have an opportunity to to work with both static and rotating industrial equipment. Would you like to learn about mechanical design and manufacturing for large scale industrial production?
As our trainee, you will
Participate in design of static equipment (reactors, columns, vessels, heat exchangers, safety accessories, loading arms, etc.)
Participate in design of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, mixers, fans) or thermal engineering (thermal calculations), depending on your interests
Learn basics of engineering project environment and procurement support activities
Develop new and better engineering tools and ways of working
You will work closely with both of our mechanical engineering teams, and collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the quality and schedule of the production equipment deliveries and engineering. We will guide and support you and give a good introduction for the job and our company.
We see that the best combination of experiences, skills and background in this position would be
On-going studies in Mechanical, Industrial or Environmental Engineering at a university or university of applied sciences
Previous experience of working in an industrial environment
Basic understanding of statics, strength analysis and dynamics
A curious mind and a taste for problem solving
We also value
Previous mechanical or industrial design, or project work experience
Experience in CAD tools (AutoCad, Inventor, MicroStation or others)
Good command of spreadsheet tools (MS Excel and/or Google Sheets)
Existing Finnish occupational safety card

Your salary will be determined based on the job and its requirements, your relevant previous working experience and the number of course credits you have from your studies.
