Summer Trainee, Logistics Development

Would you be a new member of the Logistics team?

As a trainee, you will be part of our Logistics team, but will also work closely with our other departments and get an overview of the Salo plant's operations.

Work days include the following tasks:

Continuous improvement and development of the whole Logistics concept in a way that efficiency and cost reductions can be obtained in supply chain. This includes identifying the saving potential in whole material chain starting from part suppliers to transportation, Internal Logistics as well as finished goods transportation and all other logistic functions included. One part of the work is creating business case calculations and support the implementation of possible changes.

This position also includes Internal Logistics work studies which needs to be performed and maintain up to date to have correct amount of Internal Logistics BC workers as well as layout design of Internal Logistics warehouse. Additionally processes claims from customers with regards to logistics related quality issues as assigned.

We hope you have:

• At least BBA degree or graduate in engineering in the field of business, logistics and/or technical and/or previous work experience in the field of logistics development
• Willingness to drive development by questioning present state of operations
• Systematical, analytical and solution oriented working method
• Good interaction, presentation, documentation and planning skills
• Demonstrated ability to extensively analyse data, processes and workflows
• Proficiency with MS Office programs, especially MS Excel
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD software strongly preferred
• Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English is required
