We are now looking for a Summer Trainee, IT Service Management analytics and IT Command Centre support for our office in Tampere, Finland.

You will work in a big international IT function located across the globe. We’ll welcome you as a team member, who will support us in the transformation of the standard ITSM Process management towards data-driven processes. You’ll have a chance to have a hands-on implementation of ITSM data analytics and process mining. What you’ll do
Support our ITSM process team in building a roadmap to implement data analytics and process mining in IT Service Management
Support our IT Service Management process team in studying and in piloting, how UPM IT could better utilize data analytics and process mining for data-driven decisions and effortless IT
As part of the pilot for data analytics, build together with the team comprehensive dashboards, and gain automated insights into KPIs and dashboards by utilizing data analytics tools
Monitor and control systematically end-to-end IT Service Management process strengths and weaknesses by using newly built dashboards
By using data analytics and process mining, perform gap analyses and recommend/trigger the implementation of process improvements
Gather input from monitoring and incident tickets to determine which scenarios are critical and will be handled under the scope of the IT Command centre
Facilitate the resolution of the incidents utilizing our network of technical experts within UPM and our external key partners
Follow up the critical incidents by analyzing the root cause and establishing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Ensure clear communication with all of the appropriate stakeholder groups within our services’ ecosystem
Who you are
We are looking for data analytics students who have already advanced a bit in their studies. We appreciate a positive and energetic attitude, as well as taking initiative and responsibility. You will work in an international team. For that reason, you need excellent English skills. Knowledge of ITIL methodology is considered an asset. Analytic skills, facilitation and communication are considered key attributes before technical awareness.
