We are now looking for Summer Trainee, IT Compliance and Software Asset Management to our head office, the Biofore House, in Helsinki.

What will you do

As part of our Chief Information Security Office (CISO) team, we are offering you a great opportunity to learn and get a wider view on how we operate in a large, global organization by closely working in two key areas: IT Compliance and Software Asset Management.

IT Compliance is a set of IT security standards and regulations that provide a guarantee that UPM company’s business and customer´s digital assets are protected. We probe and test IT systems, processes and suppliers to identify risks and mitigate them. In our 2025 vision, we want IT Compliance to be a driver of change and innovation!

Software Asset Management has a key role in supporting UPM business transformation strategies with proactive and efficient software asset management. We ensure software license compliance by managing and controlling software applications throughout all stages of their lifecycle and minimize costs with optimized licenses.

As a trainee, you will be assisting us on a broad range of IT Compliance and software management topics aiming to transform the "traditional" ways of working. The work will be versatile around interesting topics and where you will have lot of contacts globally within UPM IT among following tasks:

• Review the IT Compliance process and control catalogue and analyze previous year's results in order to identify improvement actions;
• Plan, hold and document interviews with different stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate that on our IT Compliance 2025 Roadmap;
• Investigate how new technologies (Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Robotics Process Automation, ServiceNow apps) could help in automating and/or centralizing UPM IT Compliance activities;
• Get to perform IT Compliance audits and testing with different internal and external parties.
• Work with and get experience about top of line Service Management tool. Contribute to enhancing IT service documentation and information sharing;
• Validate, agree and update Software management related responsibilities by contacting and co-operating globally with UPM IT;
• Assist colleagues in Software Asset Management processes;
• Provide Software Asset Management expertise for UPM businesses;
• Act as a backup resource during team member's holidays.

Who you are:

• You are a motivated student having at least Bachelor degree in IT sciences or Business studies
• We appreciate a genuine interest to learn and grow on IT Compliance and/or Software Asset Management areas and how those are operating in a frontrunner global IT organization having world - class individuals and practices.
• You’re a team player with a curious, proactive and highly driven mind-set.
• You are socially active and have interest to feel at home in international working environment.
• Previous work experience in large organization and knowledge of ITIL processes and tools is seen as an advantage.
• You have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) in English. Other language skills are seen as an asset.
