Corporate Procurement team is globally responsible for Procurement excellence of entire external spending as well as Indirect sourcing globally. Most of us are located at the global headquarters, Sanomatalo in Helsinki.
As a Summer Trainee in Corporate Procurement, you will:
Have an opportunity to learn how a global engineering company manages procurement activities
Have an opportunity to continue as a thesis worker after summer, if you feel Metso Outotec is the right place for you
Have an opportunity to work most probably with one/some of the global Category manager/s supporting them in their sourcing projects: collect baseline data from business, evaluate & prepare tendering strategies, run the tenders and negotiate and finally implement the new contacts
You may also be involved in some of the global Procurement Excellence projects
To succeed
A higher degree study background in for example industrial engineering, supply chain management/procurement, international business, or finance/economics
A positive and spontaneous can-do mindset and a proactive approach to work
Eagerness to learn more, develop, and succeed in the role.
A customer-focused and innovative mindset, and problem-solving skills
An ability to work as part of a team, while also working independently on certain tasks.
Ability to take ownership of the assigned tasks and projects and drive them proactively
Fluency in written and spoken English
