We are looking for a summer trainee to join our external communications team in Neste’s Corporate Communications in Espoo, Finland.

As our summer trainee, you will support the external engagement team with e.g. following tasks:

• Draft, write and publish press releases and other content

• Coordinate media enquiries 

• Update Neste’s website, internal news channel and other presentation materials

• Do quick translations (Finnish-English-Finnish)

• Support in various communications projects, collaborating with the global communications team

Neste’s External Engagement team is responsible for Neste’s group-level external communications, including global media relations and regulated communications of a listed company. As a member of this international team, you will work closely with the broader global communications team and report to the Head of External Engagement. We offer you multifaceted communications tasks, the opportunity to work in a dynamic, global stock-listed company, and a supportive working culture. We will guide and support you and give a good introduction for the job and our company. 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to be at the final stages of your studies in Communications, Social Sciences or similar, relevant field. You also have some previous experience in communications-related tasks (for example media relations, content creation, social media). We are looking for a trainee with excellent communication and content creation skills in both Finnish and English, motivation to learn and ability participate in various communications responsibilities.  You will benefit from having attention to detail, taking initiative and having a can-do attitude together with good cooperation skills.

All applicants must be students at the time of applying. Your salary will be determined based on  the job and its requirements, your relevant previous working experience and the number of course credits you have from your studies. For some roles, the recruitment process may include a health check and drug test. The planned time period for the summer job is 1 May -  31 August 2023.
