We are looking for a Summer Trainee, Energy and Drives to join our Port Cranes, Energy and Drives Core Technology team in Hyvinkää, Finland. As a Summer Trainee you will be working with electric drive systems of port cranes products. Your daily responsibilities include for example parametrization, testing and selecting converter units for delivery and development projects. You will work closely with your team members who help you get started and support you in your day-to-day activities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your cooperation skills and network with the best talents of your industry. The job is located in Hyvinkää with the possibility to work partly remotely.

What kind of talent are we looking for?
This role is ideal for a power electronics / electric drives student who is eager to learn more about cranes' drive systems. You are welcome to Konecranes as yourself, but we especially value your good teamwork skills, hard-working attitude, and enthusiasm for developing yourself. Our work environment is highly international, so proficiency in English and the courage to work in an international work environment are important.

Requirements:

- Academic background in power electronics or electric drives (preferably 2nd-4th year studies)
- Understanding of common drive systems (such as frequency converter) from your studies or working life
- Interest in energy-storage units e.g. batteries, fuel cells and super capacitors
- You know how to use traditional IT-programs e.g. Microsoft Office, Email, etc.
- Earlier work experience in similar tasks is seen as a beneficial
