Your part in the digital and data driven Neste journey

The Neste Data Management and Data Platform’s target is to build a future oriented and determined data management function that boosts the development, increases understanding and leverages digital advancements. Together we will build a robust and scalable mindset that will truly allow Neste to lie on the pulse of the business.

As our Data Analyst Summer Trainee you will support the growth of our Business Units and Common Functions through data. You will learn how to develop and deliver highly intuitive analytical solutions optimising the use of dashboards and visualisations. You will learn Business Intelligence (BI) best practices and learn how to provide internal stakeholders with the tools and insights needed for the organisation to meet its financial and strategic goals.

During this traineeship you will be part of a team of several experts working in different areas that will support and guide you on your learning journey. 

Your responsibilities:

• Help our stakeholders in Business Units and functions to see and understand their data through the means of our analytics and visualisation tools.

• Engage with key users and data owners to gather, clarify and manage reporting requirements.

• Translate the requirements into value adding front-end reporting applications.

• Act as configuration manager and administrator of our Power BI platform

• Support the Neste Data Platform team in reviewing, testing and documenting our analytical solutions and processes.

What we are looking for: 

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or related degree.

• Strong interest in analytics and genuine passion for data

• Experience in using Power BI technology to create analytics solutions. (understanding of SQL, DAX and Power Query)

• Competence in data storage and related methods (eg. Star schema)

• Understanding of core ETL tool concepts

• Basic BI (business intelligence) knowledge

• Good MS Office skills

• Very good English language skills
