Meet some of our trainees from last summer!  

We are eager to hear what you will say after the summer of 2023! 

As our trainee, you will support the Product and Chemical Safety team in our chemicals management processes relating to different requirements in chemical legislation. You will work closely with our chemical management experts in ensuring that all our products and chemicals in our own use are safe and compliant.

On a daily basis, you will support our experts in maintaining updated Safety Data Sheets and engage with our registry of chemicals and keep in there updated information. You will also take part in ensuring that national and EU chemical registration and notification requirements are fulfilled. In your work you will learn a lot about complying with chemical legislation in different countries. We will also expect you to provide new and innovative ideas and be ready to act on them with the support of your team. 

The team consists of professionals in implementing chemical legislation into practice, and the main job of the team is to support Neste in being in full compliance of chemical regulatory requirements and ensuring chemical safety of our own employees. We will guide and support you and give a good introduction for the job and our company. 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to be at the final stages of your studies in natural sciences like chemistry or chemical engineering. You also have some knowledge in regulatory requirements for chemicals. We are looking for a trainee with excellent communication skills in Finnish and English, motivation to learn and ability to participate in transferring detailed regulatory requirements into practice to ensure safety of human health and the environment.

All applicants must be students at the time of applying. Your salary will be determined based on  the job and its requirements, your relevant previous working experience and the number of course credits you have from your studies. The planned time period for the summer job is 1.5. - 31.8.2023.
