We are looking for a business-driven Strategic Purchaser to join our journey of establishing Category Management in the company. This position is located in Hanko at our manufacturing site. You will have the opportunity to work from home to some extent but will need to spend the majority of your working time at the site in Hanko.
Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Strategic Purchaser for TylöHelo Group, you are responsible for optimizing purchasing for goods and services with respect to function, quality and price within the assigned categories. In the role, you are expected to develop, implement and maintain the strategy for the assigned categories. You will analyse the business process to identify savings opportunities that positively affect both supply and demand. In addition, you will conduct portfolio analysis, supplier market analysis, risk analysis etc. to set the correct way forward for the given category. This also includes securing that the supplier relationships are defined and contracted with the appropriate agreements, making sure that the supplier fulfils all TylöHelo requirements. You will be responsible for continuously driving cost reduction programmes on the assigned categories together with the relevant stakeholders. Reporting of progress shall be done continuously in accordance with the defined guidelines. You will define and measure relevant KPI´s for the assigned categories to drive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to secure quality, value & continuous improvements over time. In this role you will report to and work closely with our Chief Purchasing Officer. It is important that you can work independently and in a group.
To succeed in this position, you should have relevant training on University or College level, including documented experience of sourcing in the manufacturing industry. You are used to drive negotiations and to contract suppliers. You are structured, driven, creative with analytical skills and used to work with Excel. You can build and drive teams consisting of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate fluently in Finnish and English
- 3+ years of experience from Supply Chain / Procurement
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Relevant University/College degree and work experience
- Experience from Category Management
- Swedish language skills
