We are looking for

STATISTICIAN

to join the Projects Team in Turku.

You are probably known as mathematically oriented and curious, and you are fascinated about numbers and data. As part of data management you are also interested in coding and you want to improve on it. We offer you a unique opportunity to take part on our journey to automate production data handling which includes scripting and development of LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) by e.g. using JMP and LIMS Basic scripting languages.

On a personal level you are service oriented team player. You are comfortable with the very details but you can also see the big picture and are excited to improve the data management processes. You are flexible and you have good communication skills.

Your key responsibilities are:
• Provide statistical calculations and rationales to support process and equipment validations
• Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis
• Assist in implementation, testing, and validating data and software systems
• Oversee data mapping processes - managing the entire data conversion process
• Automate data management by creating scripts for automated data collection and calculation
• Serve as a back up for our LIMS system specialist


Edellytämme sinulta

- Master of Science (M.Sc.) in a scientific discipline (e.g. physics, statistics)
- More than 5 years of work experience in similar position
- Familiarity with the medical device regulations (ISO 13485, 21 CFR part 11)
- Knowledge of how to apply theories to practice to create excellent statistical rationales and inspire trust and respect among colleagues
- Proven experience of scripting or coding either as a job or as a hobby. Familiarity with SAS JMP or LIMS Basic is a bonus.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and documentation skills
- Good communication skills both in written and spoken Finnish and English
- Team player with ability to create trustworthy relationships with stakeholders
