The Role:

Categories and Concepts is responsible for the development of HKScan's offering to customers and consumers in cooperation with Market Areas and Operations. Our Categories & Concepts organization leverages consumer insights and foresight, capabilities, resources and investments in innovation and concept development across all our Markets.

Our Specialist, Packaging is part of Programs team in Categories & Concepts organization. We are looking for a person who has a strong knowledge of packaging technologies as well as experience of working with projects.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Plan, prioritize and manage packaging projects within established budgets and deadlines.
  • Interfaces with other departments (e.g. technology development and operations) to analyse and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and design specifications and other documentation so that new packaging and processes can be produced and implemented.
  • Liaise and co-operate with internal and external stakeholders and manage interdependencies with other projects.


You will report to Head of C&C Programs

What we expect from you:

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in food tech/packaging
  • M.Sc. degree in Industrial design, Food technology, Engineering or other relevant education
  • Good knowledge of the food industry and packaging technologies.
  • Excellent skills and experience from project work and project management
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, Finnish and other languages are an advantage
  • Readiness to travel
  • Result oriented with proactive attitude
  • Ability to work in matrix organization
