Specialist, Combustibility (temporary)
As a Combustibility Specialist you will be a part of the Competence department within the Energy Technology R&D function.
You will participate in developing one of our key competences, covering fuel and ash know how, primary emissions, fouling and corrosion. As a part of your work, you will take part in experimental full- and pilot-scale measurements. The core of your work will be to ensure our capability to burn challenging fuels, and to maintain our role as a forerunner in this field. The task will involve participation in R&D projects, measurement campaigns and external research cooperation.
One important part of your work will be implementing research results into boiler design and giving expert support to sales and warranty projects. In this position you will work closely with colleagues and partners both in Finland and internationally.
To succeed in this position, we expect you to have at least M.Sc degree in energy, chemical engineering or a similar education. You have preferably a couple of years of working experience in the field and thorough knowledge in the areas of fuels, combustibility and fluidized bed boilers.
The position requires a thorough and systematic way of working and an ability to focus on long-term goals. A capability to see the big picture and extract the essential from large amounts of information is also needed. Good knowledge of the English language is required for this position, knowledge of the Finnish language is a plus. Good skills in using office programs is required.
The position requires some travelling both within Finland and internationally.
