We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist to support our developing Sourcing & Purchasing team of 12 procurement professionals in Vantaa. The team is responsible for procurement of materials and services needed for production of scientific instruments, consumables and reagents.
This is a fixed term position until 31.3.2019 starting as soon as possible.
In this role, you are responsible for supporting Thermo Fisher Vantaa production and R&D projects in a purchasing and sourcing role. In this area you are responsible for purchasing for your defined responsibility area. You drive your own sourcing tasks and support supplier relationship management. As part of the team, you participate in development of procurement processes.
We are looking for a candidate with approximately 2 years of experience in sourcing and purchasing in an industrial environment.
We would expect a candidate to have an M.Sc / B.Sc in Engineering, Economics or a comparable background.
We are looking for a professional with the drive to independently take ownership of tasks and see to that targets are met. Enthusiasm for development, along with related skills, are an asset. The role requires capability and willingness to understand the technologies we work on and to learn the tools (e.g. ERP) needed to get the job done.
Teamwork skills and an ability to network across functions and geographical borders are important to succeed.
In the role, it is necessary to communicate and negotiate fluently in Finnish as well as in English.
