SOURCING SPECIALIST to be employed by Sandvik. The position is permanent and full-time and located in Sandvik’s Tampere site which is a global technology and manufacturing center for drilling equipment. In Parts & Services the work is global. The recruitment process is handled by Staffpoint and the employment contract will be signed directly with Sandvik.
As a Sourcing Specialist you will support sourcing processes and contract management and be responsible for the day-to-day operational sourcing activities, i.e. price list updates. You will be delivering value through analytical and commercial leadership in sourcing and procurement of transactional suppliers. The position will provide timely and effective sourcing support and mentoring to stakeholders and taking the responsibility for the overall outcomes.
Areas of responsibility
- Ensure that the operational sourcing tasks are performed in a timely manner.
- Support in multiple and simultaneous transactional supplier management, ensuring key stakeholder involvement in the determination of requirements, review of proposals and negotiations.
- Support the successful delivery of sourcing project outcomes through use of rigorous and systematic processes and timely project completion: analysis, quote comparison, price list management.
- Support peers, providing guidance on all matters within the operational sourcing process and day-to-day operational activities.
- Act as a process leader for operational sourcing process improvement, while effectively managing stakeholders and building strong team relationships and trust with internal customers.
- Develop processes and analysis techniques, while ensuring support in procurement decisions of key users and stakeholders.
- Conduct and implement contract management for assigned contracts.
Your profile
- We are looking for someone with a commercial mindset, understanding of sourcing processes and the ability to see the big picture yet focus on the detail. You demonstrate leadership in your own responsibility area and support the strategic team to become outcome focused.
- Minimum 2 years of experience or studies in a related field (e.g. supply chain, finance, management) or demonstrated strategic sourcing experience is desirable.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), PowerBI and basic knowledge of contracts or contract law.
- You have strong social and communication skills both in English and Finnish. Previous experience in an international environment is an advantage since you will be collaborating closely with our global teams and other international stakeholders.
- You perform well under pressure and respond quickly to requests whilst achieving effective results professionally and honestly.
