We are looking for a service-oriented and experienced

SOLUTION DESIGNER, MES (MANUFACTURING EXCECUTION SYSTEM)

to join us in Group ICT, Solution Development function.

What's your role in the future Metsä?

You as a Solution Designer are responsible for capturing and coordinating development needs as well as their execution with internal stakeholders and external partners, either individually or as part of a formal project or release team.

Your main responsibilities are:

− Support business process design and development by providing the ICT related view, knowledge and skills.

− Design, specify, test, and implement together with our vendors, new functionalities and changes to the applications in MES/Mill systems area.

− Good communication and cooperation skills in order to lead project definition workshops with business and vendor team members.

− Identify improvement opportunities within own area by understanding business processes and industry requirements, standards, and best practices.

− Create and maintain the solution documentation together with business, vendors, and other ICT teams and ensure that the documentation correspond the existing business processes.

− 3rd tier application support for complicated incidents.

− Manage and/or participate in agreed implementation projects.

What are we looking for?

We expect you to have position relevant education and knowledge and experience of IT system architecture and solution designing, especially in MES area. Understanding of mill / production processes is essential. Preferably you have Vendor Management skills in multivendor and international environment. Knowledge and experience in SAP systems (e.g. SCM, PM), mill automation systems (e.g. Valmet, Siemens) and IIoT is considered as an asset.

To be successful in this position you will need to be a good team player with excellent communication and cooperation skills. You are also action and development orientated and results focused. Fluent verbal and written communication skills in Finnish and English are required.
