A good time series database creates an efficient data path from low-footprint and low-cost device to large-scale enterprise level database, aggregating data from thousands of connected devices and smaller sub-systems, and refining it to actionable information to help the user in business decisions.

We are looking for a Software Product Marketing Manager for Time Series Data Management in our highly skilled development team in Helsinki to serve ABB business lines and end customers in various industries globally with this nice technology. Your responsibilities
 

Your responsibilities

  • Define, plan and ensure implementation of product marketing strategy for ABB time series database product globally. Reporting to the global Product Manager, you will oversee the marketing activities and events to serve ABB business lines and end customers in various industries.
  • Drive sales efficiency by delivering appropriate product knowledge information and training (technical and sales) for the product and sales teams of ABB business lines and encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Establish strong customer relationships, gather and utilize feedback to continuously improve and maintain positive customer experience.
  • Identify new business opportunities with current and prospective customers as well as a clear strategy to convert them.
  • Oversee market and competitor analysis and market segment definition activities.
  • Conduct contract risk assessments and working closely with relevant parties to mitigate risk.
  • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
 

Your background

  • Good understanding of software products and development processes in general and requirements of industrial use cases.
  • Technical skills to learn details of software and architecture to be able to prepare technical marketing material and discuss with technical experts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, customer-focused mindset and a professional, “can-do” attitude.
  • Understanding and skills to handle contract negotiations, risk management and commercial and legal terms.
  • Academic studies in area of Computer Science or similar are a bonus.
  • Sales and marketing experience are a bonus.
  • You have an open mind and the ability to create new.
