Shopper Marketing Manager

Right now, at Nestlé Purina Petcare, part of the world’s leading food and beverage company Nestlé, we are looking for a Shopper Marketing Manager (Grocery) to join our Purina Finland Market Development Team (MDO). The position is a parental leave substitute for a temporary period, starting preferably as soon as possible with an estimated ending in January 2021.
In Nestlé Purina Petcare, we market and sell food for cats and dogs through the Retail, E-commerce and Specialist channels. As an MDO Shopper Marketing Manager you will be part of international Purina organization with many exciting challenges and possibilities to build a large network.
Your main stakeholders internally are Purina Commercial team in Finland, Nordic Marketing team as well as local Nestlè Field Sales team. You will also be networking with Shopper Marketing Managers from other Nordic Nestlé Purina Petcare (NPP) markets. Externally you interact mainly with local promotion and advertising agencies and with retailers and merchandizers.

Your primary tasks will include managing shopper activation by delivering in-store category and brand executions within local customers incl. E-commerce. You will also ensure NPP category visibility by influencing NPP range and space in store for example via effective guidance and training of Nestlé FS and merchandisers. You will also participate in developing trade & sales meeting presentations.
Your other responsibilities will include ensuring Purina product data accuracy to trade databases as well as I2L briefing and system usage for local pallets & displays and managing local co-packing activities with suppliers and warehouse.
What do we expect from you?
To succeed in this role, you should have
- Bachelor/ Master’s degree from a relevant academic field
- 1-3 years experience from similar position/ marketing/ sales (FMCG)
- Knowledge on shopper marketing principals and understanding of customer needs and selling process (Finnish FMCG market)
- Preferably experience of working with media/advertising agencies
Experience on eCom shopper activation is considered as benefit.
We will value good project management and interpersonal skills and you should also have good eye for details. You will need to have high levels of initiative, good attitude and a flexible mindset. You will be able to work both independently as well as in a team. As you will be part of our international company, you have the ability to work both in Finnish and in English.
