We are looking for a

Shipping Performance Manager

to join our Logistics & Operations team in Espoo.

Your part in Neste journey

As a Shipping Performance Manager you will be leading overall efficiency and performance of all vessels operated by Neste. This includes supplier management of shipping suppliers globally, day-to-day performance management and follow-up as well as  performance improvement related projects and initiatives. You will actively co-operate and challenge our fleet operations team, chartering managers and shipping suppliers with mission to continuously improve the fleet performance. Your typical week might consist of meeting suppliers in Finland or abroad, collecting and analyzing data, reporting to various parties and thinking new ways of improving performance.

Keys to success in this role

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is

  • Strong educational background (e.g. marine, engineering)
  • Wide experience in different means to influence ship performance
  • Experience in stakeholder management and commercial shipping
  • Excellent collaboration skills & innovative and analytical way of thinking
  • Independent way of working and fact based decision making capability
  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral

We also value

  • Experience of tankers and tanker logistics, either at sea or ashore

The recruitment process includes interviews and aptitude testing. The first interviews are preliminary scheduled to take place on week 27.
