We are now looking for motivated

SERVICE GUIDES, GATE SERVICE AGENTS AND SEASONAL GUIDES

to Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport for a fixed-term period.

Finnair’s Helsinki-Vantaa Airport Customer Service personnel are there to make our customers’ path pleasant and easy. The overall aim of these three positions is to be available and to provide high-quality, customer-oriented and friendly service for all Finnair’s customers.

SERVICE GUIDE: in this role you will work at the airport departure hall in various customer service situations. You will be responsible for checking customer´s baggage, selling ancillary services as well as dealing constructively in irregularity and overbooking situations.

SEASONAL GUIDE: in this role you will guide and serve our customers at the airport departure hall in various customer service situations.

GATE SERVICE AGENT: In this role you will serve customers in a designated area ( eg. departure hall, departure & arriving gates ) according to Finnair guidelines. In addition to this you will be responsible for dealing constructively with irregularity and overbooking situations as well as contribute to flight punctuality and security. After you have successfully completed Gate Service Agent training, you will ensure smooth and on-time departures by checking travel documents, hand luggage and communicate with other operators.

Before employment, selected new employees will participate in free training course without separate compensation for the training period.

Training period for these positions are following:

Service Guide: 27.4 - 14.5.2020

Seasonal Guide: 18. - 20.5.2020

Gate Service Agent: 16.3 - 1.4.2020

 

Our expectations from a successful candidate are:

  • At least one year of experience in demanding face-to-face customer service work; longer experience is considered an asset
  • Positive service-minded attitude and excellent social interaction skills
  • Ability to cooperate in a diverse team and make decisions independently, also under great pressure
  • Ability to take personal initiative
  • Completed secondary education, other relevant education considered an asset
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Finnish, all other language skills are considered an advantage
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • No visible tattoos, piercings or teeth jewelry

We will offer fixed-term and part-time work (72-100 h/4 weeks; please note that 100 h/4 weeks cannot be exceeded).
