We are looking for a Senior Technical Engineer to join Axopar´s growing community
As a Senior Technical Engineer, you will be in charge of our boat systems design and installation solutions with the rest of the design team. Your key tasks include planning and designing critical boat systems, e.g., HVAC-, fuel- and propulsion systems, including tasks in mechanical design, lamination and hull structure technical solutions. You will also participate prototyping, testing validation activities.
This role requires responsibility and independence, you play a key part in initiating new boat systems, mechanical, lamination and formation solutions and design for new boat models. You will also work to improve our current design and solutions. Additionally, you will be preparing and maintaining technical documentation and instructions for boat systems, as well as, for mechanical design.
What we expect from you?
You could be the person we are looking for if you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position. We expect you to have previous work experience in an international technical design or engineering environment, and to have previous experience with complex technical projects. You are able to build and maintain long-lasting technical business relationship with stakeholders and are well acquainted with project work. Previous in-depth knowledge of technical and commercial boat production and construction will help you to succeed in this role.
Your educational background could be a Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Technical Design, preferably in Naval Design. Working in an international context, excellent English language skills are necessary and ideally you would also have good Finnish skills.

You have an entrepreneurial, business-oriented mindset, you are able to perform well under pressure, and you work well both independently and as a member of a team. You are genuinely enthusiastic about the boat industry and are motivated to continuously develop your professional skills as a part of our rapidly growing business.
